Obama :First Points for new beginning

President Obama made his first actions to move Move the Country forward in the

direction of "Higher Ground" morally and politically as he placed his first call upon

taking office to President Abbas'. Palestine's embattled leader and also signing order

to close Guantanamo Prison base in a year.
With these swift actions President Obama is showing that indeed he plans to back up his
promises by deeds.
He is clearly putting the Middle East on a high priority, amidst all the major problems he
is facing in his position as Leader of the Free World.
At the same time it looks as if he is planning to fulfill his vow to meet and talk, without
preconditions to Government Leaders of Nations we are in conflict. Russia is said to be a
choice at present for talks.
Let us have your comments on the next points that President Obama should prioritize.
Prayer for America
O Thou kind Lord! This gathering is turning to Thee. These hearts are radiant with Thy love. These minds and spirits are exhilarated by the message of Thy glad-tidings. O God! Let
this American democracy become glorious in spiritual degrees even as it has aspired to material degrees, and render this just government victorious. Confirm this revered nation to upraise
the standard of the oneness of humanity, to promulgate the Most Great Peace, to become thereby most glorious and praiseworthy among all the nations of the world. O God! This American nation is worthy of Thy favors and is deserving of Thy mercy. Make it precious and near to Thee through Thy bounty and Bestowal....Abdu'l-Bah'a 1912

Obama to POINT THE WAY?

The inspiration to create this Blog came yesterday January 20, 2009 when I was fortunate

enough witness Barack Obama taking the oath of office as the 44Th President ,and the First

Black President of the United States of America in Washington D.C. . on the Capital steps.

I attended with my Son and his 2 sons , my grandsons, to witness a moment in time that We will

never forget and treasure the rest of our lives.

Being of African-American Heritage with Multi Racial Ancestry in our family, including

Bloodlines of African, French, and American Indian ,Irish plus other ethnic genes in our family,we readily identified with Barack and reveled in his historic accomplishment.

His election to the highest office in the land fulfills a dream that my parents had and was

given voice to by Martin Luther King's speech some 40 plus years ago at this very same

Location.

I was particularly inspired when Barack voiced his vision of the future in his inaugural speech

when he spoke these words.

"For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace. "

Time will tell if Barack can deliver on his promises , but he will need our help, he cannot do it

without God and our support.

We plan to monitor and chronicle Barack's progress and we ask for your help and suggestions

to make the Dream a reality.
